We will visit the most emblematic places of the D-Day Landings such as Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery, La Pointe du Hoc where the U.S Rangers proved the highest courage while climbing clives under direct nazi fire! We will go to Arromanches and see the remains of the artificial harbor used by the allies to convey the necessary equipments. Nearby is the artillery battery of Longues-sur-Mer with its 4 canons.
On the 2nd day, in the town of Bayeux, we will have the great opportunity to observe the 1000 year-old Tapestry that relates the Norman conquest of England by William the Conqueror.
We will then head for the beautiful village of Honfleur, famous for its picturesque port that many artists painted.
We will also visit Rouen, a major historic city of Normandy where the ending of Joan of Arc's terrible fate took place. We will see the Cathedral and enjoy the old streets with the typical half-timbered houses.
